working on this show is a lot like camp. there are lots of activities throughout the day. we eat a lot of meals together and we work long hours. so people spend a lots of time away from their families. while we have a lot of fun here, it is important to stay connected. it is a camp tradition that everyone has to write home once a day. so here at the show we are making "letters home" something of a rule. and just as mine camp counselors had to deal with me, i'm checking in with everybody else to make sure they're writing their letters. so let's see -- let's check in with our stage manager. nickka, do you have your letter? >> i sure do, jimmy. >> jimmy: could you read it, please? >> yes. dear mom and dad, i am fine. how are you? how is my hamster? don't forget, he likes cheddar goldfish. my job on the jimmy fallon show is fun. i manage the stage which means i'm in charge of a lot of stagehands. they are nice but they are huge. and sometimes i feel like i'm herding cattle. i would use a cattle prod but nbc says it is against the rules and it might kill the stagehands to death.
